Pilot. Commercial launch 1 January 2027.

Terms of service

In force from 5 November 2026. Paid packages open on 1 January 2027. The Finnish version prevails if the two differ.

1. Who the agreement is with

Pirou is provided by Yakumama Holding Oy (business id 3667677-4). The agreement starts when you create an account, take a paid package into use, or your club is accepted into the pilot.

The terms cover two kinds of customer:

  • A consumer is a rider or guardian using Rider Free or Rider Pro for their own or their child’s riding.
  • An organisation is a club, stable, company or self-employed person using Club Pro or Coach Pro. The person accepting on the organisation’s behalf must be entitled to do so.

If we have agreed something else in writing with an organisation, that agreement takes precedence over these terms. How personal data is handled is described in the privacy notice.

2. Account

  • Use your real name and email address. An account is personal.
  • Keep your password and your judge PIN to yourself. The PIN signs a score sheet in your name.
  • You can create your own account from the age of 13. A guardian creates the profile of a younger rider on the guardian’s own account. A rider under 18 needs a guardian’s permission for a paid subscription.
  • A guardian is responsible for what is stored on a child’s profile and gives permission for the child’s lesson videos and photos.

3. The service and packages

What each package includes, and its price, is on the pricing page. Rider Free costs nothing and never becomes paid unless you choose a paid package.

  • Features marked Beta, such as position analysis, are still in development. They can change or be removed.
  • Features marked Coming are not part of a package until they are released.
  • Pilot: a club or coach accepted into the pilot uses the service free of charge until 30 June 2027. The pilot does not start a paid subscription. We will tell you well before the pilot ends what continuing will cost.

4. Prices and payment

A consumer pays for Rider Pro by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. The subscription renews for the period you choose (month, quarter or year), and each period is charged at its start. The price on the pricing page is the total price.

An organisation receives an invoice or e-invoice in advance for calendar periods: a month starts on the 1st, a quarter on 1 January, 1 April, 1 July or 1 October, and a year on 1 January. The first period is priced by the day. Payment terms are 14 days net. Late payments carry interest under the Finnish Interest Act.

If an organisation’s invoice is more than 21 days overdue, paid features become read-only until it is paid. Data is kept, and a published calendar or an existing booking does not disappear.

No VAT is added to the prices, because Yakumama Holding Oy is not in the VAT register. If that changes, we will tell you at least 30 days before the first invoice that includes VAT.

Codes and free months: the terms of a code are on its campaign page. A code applies only to the package and period it names.

Price changes are announced by email at least 30 days before they apply to you. The new price starts with the next period. If you do not accept it, you can end your subscription before then.

5. Consumer right of withdrawal

A consumer may withdraw from a Rider Pro subscription within 14 days of ordering it, without giving a reason.

Pro features open at once when you ask for that while ordering. If you withdraw within the 14 days, we refund the payment except for the share of days already used. The refund goes to the same payment method within 14 days of the withdrawal.

Withdraw in the app under Profile → Subscription → Withdraw from contract, or email [email protected]. We confirm the withdrawal by email.

6. Cancellation and ending

  • A consumer can end the subscription at any time. Pro stays on until the end of the paid period, and the next period is not charged. A used period is not refunded, except on withdrawal or when the service is faulty.
  • An organisation can cancel a package to end at the close of the current period. The next period is not invoiced.
  • Deleting your account ends the agreement. You can delete it yourself from your profile.
  • We may end the agreement if the service is used against these terms and this is not fixed within 14 days of our notice. In serious misuse, such as using someone else’s account or disrupting the service, we may block access at once.
  • If we close the whole service, we will give at least three months’ notice and refund any prepaid unused share.

When a paid package ends, your data stays. Pro views lock, and a club’s calendar, bookings and lesson media remain readable. What happens to data after an account is deleted is in the privacy notice.

7. Your content

What you store, such as journal entries, notes, videos and photos, belongs to you. You let us store and process it as far as providing the service requires, for example to convert a video for playback or to show a note to a rider.

Store only content you have the right to store. Before adding a video or photo of another rider, make sure they, or a minor’s guardian, have agreed. Do not use the service for unlawful or offensive content, to use other people’s accounts, or to overload or break into the service.

8. Competitions, judging and results

Pirou calculates a judge’s percentage and a class’s results from the coefficients and penalty rules stored on the test. The organiser is responsible for using the right test and rules in a class, and approves the results by closing the class. The result of a closed class (name, horse, club, percentage) is public.

The SRL and FEI tests in the test library belong to their publishers. They are in Pirou for judging and for learning the test.

9. AI and analysis

A coach’s dictated lesson notes are structured with AI. The coach checks a note before publishing it and is responsible for what is published to the rider. AI structuring can contain mistakes.

Position analysis and gait detection are indicative measurements from video. They do not replace a coach’s judgement.

10. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep the service available at all times and announce maintenance breaks in advance when we can. Judging and notes work without a network, and data uploads when the connection returns. Organisations are not promised a specific availability percentage unless separately agreed.

We develop the service continuously. We may change features for a justified reason, such as security, legislation or development of the service, at no extra cost to you. If a change materially reduces a package you pay for, we will tell you in advance, and you can end the subscription and get the unused share back.

11. Faults

If the service does not work as the package promises, tell us at [email protected]. We fix faults within a reasonable time. If we cannot fix a fault, a consumer is entitled to a price reduction or to end the agreement under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act.

12. Limitation of liability

These terms do not limit a consumer’s statutory rights.

Towards an organisation, our liability is limited to direct damage, up to the fees the organisation paid in the 12 months before the damage. We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost income or cancelled lessons. These limits do not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

We are not liable for delays or outages caused by events outside our control, such as a wide disruption of a telecommunications network or a subcontractor.

13. Processing personal data for a club

When a club uses Pirou to manage its members, lessons, bookings and competitions, the club is the controller of that data and Yakumama Holding Oy processes it on the club’s behalf. This section is the data processing agreement under Article 28 of the GDPR.

  • We process the data only to provide the service and on the club’s instructions.
  • Our staff and subcontractors are bound to confidentiality.
  • We protect the data as described in the privacy notice.
  • We use the subprocessors listed there. We tell the club about a new subprocessor 30 days in advance, and the club may object or cancel the package.
  • We help the club answer members’ data requests and report a personal data breach without undue delay.
  • When the agreement ends, the club can download its data. We delete the club’s data within 90 days unless the law requires us to keep it.

The club is responsible for having a legal basis for the processing and for informing its members.

14. Intellectual property

The Pirou software, name and marks belong to Yakumama Holding Oy. You get a right to use the service for the duration of the agreement. You may not copy, decompile or resell it.

15. Changes to these terms

We announce changes to these terms by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not accept a change, you can end your subscription before it takes effect. Clarifying wording or structure does not need advance notice.

16. Governing law and disputes

Finnish law applies.

Contact us first at [email protected] and we will look into it. A consumer can ask the consumer advisory service for help and take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board. A consumer may also bring a claim in the district court of their own home municipality.

Disputes with an organisation are settled in the Western Uusimaa District Court.
