Frequently asked questions
What is Pirou?
Pirou is a Finnish riding app for riders, riding clubs and coaches. It covers dressage and show-jumping competitions with a digital judge sheet, the club lesson calendar with online booking, a riding journal and coaches’ lesson notes. Pirou works on phone, tablet and computer, in Finnish and English.
How much does Pirou cost?
Rider Free costs nothing. Rider Pro costs 6 € a month or 60 € a year, Club Pro 20 € a month or 204 € a year, and Coach Pro 29 € a month or 290 € a year.
Quarterly prices are 17.10 €, 57 € and 82.65 €. No VAT is added, because Yakumama Holding Oy is not registered for VAT.
Paid packages open on 1 January 2027.
What is the Pirou pilot?
The pilot is for clubs and coaches who want to start before the commercial launch on 1 January 2027. Accepted pilot users use Pirou free of charge until 30 June 2027 and give feedback as we build. Places are limited.
Applying for the pilot does not start a paid subscription. Riders can start with a free account at any time. Apply for the pilot.
Can Pirou be used to judge competitions on a tablet without a network?
Yes. The judge enters marks on a tablet, Pirou calculates the percentage at once, and the judge signs the sheet with a PIN. Judging works at the arena without a network, and the marks upload when the connection returns.
The test library includes the SRL national tests and the FEI tests used in Finland. Competition tools are part of the Club Pro package. Read about competitions.
How does payment work?
Riders pay for Rider Pro by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The subscription renews automatically and can be cancelled at any time. Clubs and coaches receive an invoice or e-invoice in advance for a month, quarter or year, payable in 14 days.
Does a coach need their own subscription if the club has Club Pro?
Not for club lessons. In a Club Pro club, a coach sees lesson rosters and writes lesson notes and video feedback for club lessons. Coach Pro is needed for a personal calendar across clubs, a public booking page and a coach’s own riders.
What happens to my data if I stop?
Ending a subscription deletes nothing: score history, journal and published notes stay, and only the Pro views lock. If you delete your account, the login is removed and your name is anonymised. A public result from a closed class stays.
You can download your data as a JSON file from your profile before deleting. Read the privacy notice.
Who can see a child's data?
A guardian manages the child’s rider profile, and the child has no login of their own. The guardian sees the child’s results and lessons. Lesson videos and photos of a rider under 18 need the guardian’s consent.
